pincer grasp
Toren has had a good pincer grasp for a while. Apparently he knew he did as he stopped wanting to be spoon fed at around 7 months and instead insisted on feeding himself, as he attempts in this video:

Johnny Jumpers Are Fun
I’ve posted photos and video of Toren hating his Johnny Jumper earlier on here. Well, it took a while, but now he likes it:

Mentioned in the Guardian…
Its over 6 months since it was published, but apparently I was mentioned in a news story in the Guardian, a prominent UK newspaper. Yeah for me!

the end of spoon feeding

ball to the head = laughing baby
Debi and I discovered this favorite game of Toren’s independently – for some reason he really likes having a soft ball bounced off his head:

you know healthcare is bad when…
You can’t get your healthcare provider to talk to itself. Some background to explain. Upon moving to Florida, I took a job at the University of Tampa with Ryan, where I had good health insurance. A large chunk of that insurance was covered by the University and we didn’t really worry about the insurance that…
