Saturday was basically all about Suzy’s shower. We got up early and went shopping for food and other shower-related supplies. We picked up a ton of food (including meat trays and such), then I dropped Debi and Shalynn off to get that stuff arranged while I went shopping for a few other things. We spent the rest of the morning and the early afternoon getting everything set up. Then I made some oatmeal raisin cookies and washed dishes for the shower during the actual event. We thought it went well – the idea of giving invitees movies around which they were supposed to make their purchases seemed to be a hit. At least, everyone seemed to think it was enjoyable. We spent most of the rest of Saturday lounging around. I made a dinner salad (veggie chicken, couscous, and feta cheese) then we watched a little TV. Debi and I also decided to go dancing at the Murray Arts Center where we used to do ballet. We hadn’t been there in years. It was fun. We danced a bit but spent most of the time talking to people we knew from our time there. We stayed until about 1:00 am.
