Ryan and Debi & Toren

Road Trip – day 20 (southern Utah)

We left fairly early in a caravan, headed for Southern Utah with Debi’s family.  We stopped in Price on our way for a quick lunch at A&W, where Toren posed as a statue:

Just after Price, the caravan split up.  Some went on to Moab and we went with Debi’s sister and her family to Goblin Valley.  Debi and I had been before, but this was Toren’s first visit.  The place is awesome!  If you’re ever in the area, it is well worth stopping by for the unusual rock formations.  We spent about 2 hours just wandering around seeing stuff and letting the kids play.

Unfortunately, it was windy when we first got there and Toren came up with this solution.

After visiting Goblin Valley, we drove up to the San Rafael Swell to see more cool rock formations.  We found one where there was a very narrow razorback from an overlook that you could hike that was pretty cool:

From the San Rafael Swell we drove to the condos in Moab.  We arrived fairly late, so we unloaded the cars and then went to bed.
