Ryan and Debi & Toren

Road Trip – day 23 (Lake Powell)

We got a fairly early start from Moab, leaving Debi’s family, and headed for Lake Powell.  This was the second time I’d approached Lake Powell from the south (Hall’s Crossing); the first was in high school on a work trip with Tyler McConville (good times).  It took about 4 hours from Moab and we had arranged for us to be picked up by my dad.  We arrived just around noon, loaded up our stuff, and cruised across Bullfrog Bay to the houseboat.  It was ridiculously hot, so it didn’t take us long to get in the water with the rest of my family.  Toren’s a fish and loves to be in the water.  He was delighted to get to swim for hours and hours and had lots of cousins with whom he could play.
