Prague Day 2 – Prague Castle

On our second day in Prague, after trying to stay up until a good bedtime so we could get adjusted to the time shift, we decided to spend the day at Prague Castle. We figured there was enough to do there to make it a day along with getting settled.

We purchased the standard circuit tickets that include entry into four buildings/areas of the castle grounds: the Basilica of St. George, the Old Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Golden Lane. That was the order in which we visited the various parts of the castle.

And a photosphere from outside St. Vitus Cathedral that shows the back of the Cathedral and the front of Basilica St. George:

We wandered around a bit more then crossed over to the Royal Gardens, which were not even close to as busy as the castle. It was quiet and quite lovely over there.

Here’s a photosphere from one of the plazas in the Royal Gardens:

We walked all the way through the Royal Gardens, which led us to Letna Park, which is really massive and has lots of different parts. From there, we headed back to the Old Town Square and then back to our AirBnB. We ate a late lunch and relaxed for a bit then walked up to where Debi’s workshop was taking place so she would know where to go the next day.

Here’s a map of our route:

(Again, not necessarily a recommended map, just the one we took. For my recommended routes, see here.)
