  • object permanence

    I came up with a little game to test whether or not Toren had developed object permanence:

  • first attempts at crawling

    This is an edited video of a couple of clips of Toren attempting to crawl. He’s much better at this now (army man style, not on his knees), but this was just as he was learning how:

  • Toren with a cold

    This is a clip of Toren at the height of his successive colds, which ended up being a sinus infection. It’s more sad than anything as you can see how hard it is for him to breath and can tell he just wasn’t feeling well:

  • I just hired Jesus…

    My neighbor’s name is Jesus; he’s from Cuba.  He’s doing some work on our house.  It’s not really news, but I wanted a funny post title on here that would grab attention.  Anyone else ever paid Jesus to do some work for them?

  • falling asleep on the job

    This is probably one of the funniest/cutest videos we’ve shot. Debi was carrying Toren around in the bjorn while she was working around the house. Toren loves this, but apparently it was too much for him this day – he crashed, in the bjorn, on the camera:

  • pincer grasp – take two

    This is another shot of Toren using his pincer grasp to feed himself. He’s an expert at this now, but early on he struggled with getting the food into his mouth. Oh, he also does some funky leg kick thing in the second half of the video. Not sure what that’s all about.

    This is a shot of me teasing Toren with the camera. He really wants to get his hands on it. Perhaps we have a budding film maker on our hands:

    I’ve now been to four Disney parks: Disney Land (California), Disney World Magic Kingdom (Florida), Disney World Epcot Center (Florida), and Disney World Animal Kingdom (Florida).   • Toren Kisses

    Just before I shot this video, Toren was sucking on Debi’s chin, which is something he does on occasion but I’ve never caught on film. I was trying to catch him doing it, but instead caught him returning a kiss from Debi, which even cuter:

  • 9 months

    While he was officially 9 months old March 2nd, we took some pictures a few days earlier (just before his fever).  And, yes, these were snapped in our backyard:
